Understanding the classification of boats/yachts A-B-C-D according to the EEC rules.

Here is a very interesting article about the classification of boats/yachts which is mandatory to sell a yacht on the large territory of the European Community.

Indeed, it is mandatory to display the classification for any boat for sale in the large territory of the EEC which includes France, Italy, Greece, Germany, Spain, Portugal and other members of the EEC.

Here in North America, this is not mandatory, so the American manufacturers are not bound to this rule and the European manufacturers take advantage of this to not disclose this class especially when it is not A, in order not to scare the boater.

Indeed, a B is not to be neglected, but it is necessary to understand the differences in order to evaluate the relevance of an A or B in direct link with the Beaufort index.

So here is link with the article.
